Purpose: To promote music students' appreciation of Music of Romantice Period

Instrument: Piano

Repertoire: One solo piece from the Classical Period (No Concerto Please)

Time Limit: 6 minutes

Age Limit: 11 to 14 for Category I and 15 to 18 for Category II.

International Young Artist Merit Evaluation

Area of study in Merit Evaluation program include performance, technique, and repertoire.  This provides you child with an understanding of music style, composer, and harmony.

During high school, your child has many opportunities to receive extracurricular credits.  Many colleges place high emphasis on applicants who have completed distinguished music programs like IYAME.  It demonstrates strong commitment, an appreciation for art and music, and a high level of achievement.  Our evaluation options include (1) sending us a computer readable audio/video files or (2) a Skype appointment.

 

Application deadline: February 1, 2018

Fourth International Outstanding Young Musicians Competition

The competition was a success. There were eighteen finalists competing in Thousand Oak Library on March 26th, 2001.  The judge's decision as following.  David Lu won first place of the Piano Section.  Annie Cheng got the second place,  Both Eric Jan and Ashlee Liu won the third place.

Awards: First place $300, Second place $150, Third place $50 for Piano. Woodwind first place $5000.

The Woodwind section had finalist from all over North America with one came from Canada.  The judges decided that Darius Chyou who plays Oboe D'Amoure was the winner of our Woodwind Section.
